Is it normal to have urges to go back?
I am afraid to see my old drug buddies... I want to go straight to college and not have to deal with all the stress of drugs. Is it normal to worry about staying sober?

For the love of gourd, stay away from them! Go to school, do the best you can and don't worry about the losers who are willingly fucking up their lives.
Good luck staying sober! I know you can do it. You are doing the right thing by distancing yourself from these self-destructive individuals. Once you have gotten rid of them, you can make room for more positive people in your life:)
I am 23 and 5 years sober in my Junior year of College. The truth is when you tell your friends you are sober, and tell them you can't hang out when they go clubbing etc. They will kind of just stop hitting you up. Every once in awhile I go to the club ( like once a year) but I only go with a couple of people and obviously I don't drink.
You will eventually have to learn to live in a world where people drink and get high- but the time isn't now if you are new in sobriety.
Just stay away. Their trouble. What u have us after urges. After u quit, u see them, then u crave. Thats wht happens with ex boyfriends too.
Staying away from drugs will be the best decision you will make in your life I guarantee. I have known several people who have been addicted to drugs. The ones who have quit changed from having nothing going for them to being very successful. The ones who couldn't quit are homeless, delusional about the government watching them to the point where they accuse friends of working for "them", smoking meth while pregnant, going to jail/looneybin/rehab repeatedly with no results and all other sorts of dysfunction. Please stay away from drugs.

Yea man. Don't give yourself any reason to do them again. Not peer pressure, not humbleness, nothing.
