Is it normal to have to sneak around the hibachi restaurant?

I went to this Japanese hibachi restaurant and got seated and after I saw the outrageous beverage prices (no free refills either!) plus the hibachi grills were hidden behind screens so you couldn't observe it even, I got upset over this stuff and left and they didn't take kindly to that. I got shamed from going there again but they have the best sushi in town. There is only one other sushi place here and it is SHIT!

Now I have to get someone to go fetch sushi for me because they won't serve me. IIN?
