Is it normal to have to itch in symmetry?

Whenever I have an itch, for example on my ear, I have to itch the other ear as well. If I don't, I feel off balance and unsymmetrical. Haha is this normal?

    It's a compulsion associated with obsessive compulsive disorder. I do something similar.
