Ok, so one of my close friends, not a best friend but close still, told me about his wedding over a year ago and I mentioned I would go of course. I then RSVP'd to his formal invitation a few months ago, however one of my best friends is graduating college on the exact same day. Up until now (which is only a few days before the wedding) he begins sending me a ton of passive aggressive texts saying his graduation isn't worth as much to me and i should just take the easy way out and go to the wedding. I don't get it, to me it seems really unfair of him to put this all on me mere days before the wedding. He went on to say that he never asked me to come because he figured i would do the "right" thing and blow off my other friends wedding and come to his graduation. Mind you his University is 1.5 hours away and the wedding is in town, so it would be impossible to attend both. is it normal that I feel he is being completely unfair?

    Don't miss the wedding. The person graduating, albeit is important, shouldn't be so selfish. A true friend would understand. You will regret missing the wedding...

    That is selfish of him guilt trip you like that. If he wanted to be sure you were there he could have made sure you knew before you accepted the wedding invitation. Definitely go to the wedding. You can celebrate college graduations whenever.

    my advice is don't miss the wedding. i made that mistake once and i couldn't repair the friendship. :(
