Is it normal to have thoughts of hurting or humiliating people i like?
I admit, I'm a bit of a hateful person who has a hard time letting go of grudges, but this isn't about that.
Sometimes when I'm in an engaged conversation with someone, I have a fleeting thought of splashing my cup of water/beverage in their face, throwing the nearest object at them, or just plain slapping or hitting them. Sometimes I think about these things consciously for someone I actually don't enjoy being in the company with, but what I'm talking about is with people that haven't ticked me off. I always thought this was kind of weird, but then I never asked anyone in case they would get scared I would hurt them or something. (Maybe I'm scared I might hurt them or something...)
Then I heard about something called pure-o, and it kind of sounds like what I go through and other things? What do you think? Is it normal to have thoughts like this? What can I do about it?
