Is it normal to have this horrible dream...

I have this recurring dream in which my skin is falling apart, I have holes in my skin which look so vivid and real on my arms, neck and body (never my face because I never see faces in my dreams) and I look like im wasting away I can can see tendons and veins through my skin and sometimes bones through these holes. I get so worried and worked up in my dream and I wake up feeling horrified and.depressed anyone else ever experience this its really starting to get to me

    Yes, they are called 'nightmares'.

I've never had this particular dream, but ever now and again I dream of my teeth falling out. I have a fear of losing my teeth. These dreams are vivid and terrifying. I googled them and it means I'm feeling anxiety about a situation in my life. This sounds like it could be something similar. Good luck, I hope better dreams are to come.

I used to have a similar recurring dream in which my teeth kept falling out, and it even though it was a dream, it felt like they were actually missing. I had at least two other dreams where another certain part of my anatomy came off. No pain in any of these dreams, thank god.

      Which deity are you thanking?

      Why are you thanking them?

        I hope that's not a serious question.

It is a serious question. Apparently, there is not a serious answer.
          You, my friend, are insincere.

          Please answer the questions.

This actually works. When I was a kid I used to get nightmares all the time, then I started praying every single night asking God to watch over me and keep me from having nightmares, and if it wasn't too much to ask, to even give me good dreams (of flying and what not). I never had a nightmare after that, and had some really fun dreams instead :D

Which deity did you ask to watch over you?

Does this deity appreciate this ceremonious behaviour?

This moron seems to believe language is permanent, fixed Hz time, non-evolving and the only legitimate form of expression is the Oxford Concise. To quote the urban dictionary, fu.ck off felcher.

Only the dreamer is apt at analyzing their dreams.

Dreams usually have 100% to do with what is going on in your life/head in real life. I have a recurring dream about my teeth falling out, because in real life, I rarely brush my teeth and I keep getting cavities, and my mom keeps telling me my teeth are going to fall out one day. So I'm sure, if I ever get into the habit of brushing my teeth every day, those dreams will stop.
So try to think of what fear this dream is dealing with. Are you more or less obsessed with how your skin looks, and maintaining great skin or are there imperfections on your skin that you do not like or something? If you can figure it out, deal with it in real life, and it will solve itself in your dreams.

To dream of your skin represents protection or shield of your inner self. It serves as a physical boundary and how close you let others get to you. Alternatively, your skin indicates that you are being too superficial or shallow.

Perhaps someone in your life is damaging your 'boundaries'

That's a crock of bullshit. Dreams are literal, not metaphorical.

You're misinformed. As a dream therapist, dreams exist on 4 levels: 1) the symbolic, such as your skin is your boundary 2) the literal, meaning a skin disease or allergy 3) the metaphorical, such as someone is "getting under your skin" and 4) the spiritual, as in my body may whither away, but my soul goes on.

Which branch of social science procures therapeutic treatment of a mental dream disorder?

Please do not use -ists or -isms?

          Archaic.

Please describe the Physical properties of a 'spirit'.

Please describe the Physical properties of a 'soul'.

Psychoanalysis was founded on dreams. The spirit has no physical properties, so your question is meaningless.

              Incorrect.

Your comment is meaningless. Everything in this Universe, and every other Universe, including space, has Physical properties. If something does not have Physical properties, then it doesn't exist; meaning it's meaningless.
