Is it normal to have this digestive system?

So.. I'm not too sure how to word this.

But.

I am admittedly a skinny person and I eat A LOT. By a lot, I honestly mean.. like.. in one meal, I consume enough to feed two parents and two children..

When I do eat A LOT (or a reasonable amount) before I go to sleep, I wake up the next morning with everything digested, my stomach skinny and tight ('cause after I eat it gets round and fat :3) and I'm just very hungry...

But.

When I don't eat much on some days.. or anything at all, I feel full and don't eat for the majority of the day and get that round belly like I do after eating (only smaller) until the eating mood comes back..

So.. is that normal?

Of course I have days where I eat like a normal person. :d

Same thing happens to me, don't go without eating, your blood sugar drops and you go into a daze. You can't work and don't feel hunger. I found out recently that I was essentially starving myself. Make sure you eat consistently, i upped my food intake a lot and started feeling really really good and although i'm always hungry I still feel better. If you wake up in the morning with bad circulation to certain body parts it means you should eat something before sleeping.

I'm exactly the same as you buddy :) I'm male 5ft10 and I only way 9 and a half stone or 60kg. No matter how much I eat I will be hungry about an hour later and I never put on weight. For example, on a typical Friday I will have a meal from a local chip shop, half a roast chicken and a shed load of chips. Later in the same night about 3 or 4 hours later I will usually eat a pub meal with some mates, a large rump/sirloin with a lot of chips, this is usually at around 12p.m at night (friend manages a pub and has keys to the pub) . The following morning at around 9 a.m I will already be hungry, literally starving. I don't smoke and don't often drink excessively, in my opinion I am in the best physical condition I've ever been so eating a lot to maintain this doesn't really bother me but I am wondering when my fast metabolism will end leading to massive weight gain haha :/

Make sure you're eating healthy, if you're eating so much! Just because you have a fast metabolism doesn't mean you don't have to watch your levels of cholesterol, etc. Also, I would speak to a doctor. I've known some people who are underweight who have ended up having a thyroid problem (which is completely manageable, nothing to be too scared of). Just make sure, no matter what, you are healthy!

Whoaaaaa nelly. I eat "a lot" for my size too but I plan my meals and control what and when I eat.

Slow down a little--moderate. Eat 3 to 5 meals a day. Don't overeat and then abstain from food for days; it's not healthy for your stomach. You'll get ulcers or something. Happened to a friend of mine who did something similar: they'd eat a ton of food then stop eating for a couple days. Rinse and repeat.

Sounds like you're a smoker, smokers tend to lose their hunger pains after smoking..Thus getting hungrier and hungrier, then when they finally eat they binge...

I have a really active metabolism, which means I can eat and eat & digest most the foods, never gaining weight..

I think its genetics but who knows I’m no doctor….. Do what you body tells you, If its hungry eat, if you're not then don't..
