Is it normal to have this...

Ever since I was born I have had this mark on my left eye. The eye doctor said that it's a pigment discoloration, but he never really said if it was common or not.

The mark isn't covering my whole eye, but it's still noticeable to the point where people who have just met me always ask what happened to my eye. It gets quite annoying and makes me feel all self conscious about it. So does anyone else have this?

I don't have one but I had a friend at school who had one. It's such a minor thing but he got really sick of people's reactions. Because it's acceptable for people to be looking into your eyes while talking, he found people staring at it, thinking he wouldn't notice.

People are really bad at putting themself in someone else's position and thus, finding the best way to act. An ex colleague who is a wheelchair user was sitting with an open can of Coke on the arm of his chair when an old lady put some coins in the can, thinking he was collecting just because he was in a chair.

The harsh truth is that you can change this one of two ways. You can either change the entire world's stupid view. Or you can find a different way of dealing with the fact that people will always be like this.
