Is it normal to have the urge to spend money?

For some odd reason, this is what I've been thinking about today. I feel like going online and spending money on a whole lot of things. These obsessive thoughts have been in my head all day and it's bugging me! Is this normal?

It's normal just like it's normal to hoard money.

Spending money on hollow assets is a suboptimal option of one's time. Only spend money on unnecessary things if you are vastly wealthy like me and need not concern yourself with debt.

It's as normal as any other potentially addictive behaviour. If you find yourself plagued by this you may be a shopping addict. It may sound bizarre or unlikely but many people suffer from this. Often they get a rush from buying, but it soon diminishes and then they must buy again... sounds a bit like crack.

You are very stupid, and could never be in the 1%. Money is a game and you do not have a clue about how to play.

I find that spending money on cute little cancer kids and their families is a great way for my cock to gain access to their tight assholes.

That's what money is for. Spend, spend, spend until you are deeply in debt and then, and only then, will you be considered a real American.

America is the best country in the world, so obviously we're doing it right.

Please, give me three reasons why you believe that.
        First though, I'll give you three why I disagree;
        1) Freedom in the United States: The US has a bigger percentage of it's population in prison AND the most prisoners, than any other country on earth; 1 in 99, as of yesterday, actually!
        2) The ONE AND ONLY thing that distinguished this country from all others was the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act quite efficiently did away with both of them.
        3) A system that was designed to be "one man, one vote" has been so corrupted that corporations are now considered citizen entities. Corporations are not 'citizens' and should have no place in the electoral process, period.
The ball's in your court, big mouth.

You really love arguing with me, don't you?

The United States is the wealthiest country in the world. Yes, we have large amounts of debt, but we still swamp every other nation in material possessions.

We are the most powerful country in the world. We have the most powerful army, won two world wars, DESTROYED the shithole known as Iraq, and have access to nuclear weapons.

Also, we have over 300,000,000 people in our country living a first world lifestyle, with a stable democratic government. There is no other first-world country on Earth that size.

As for the prisoners, would you prefer if we let criminals run around as they please? 1/100 of American citizens might be a waste of humanity, but the other 99% outweigh them greatly.

I could give you hundreds of more reasons, but I can't be bothered. America is the best country in the world, and it most likely always will be.

The US hasn't won a war since WWII. We have lost every conflict we have been in since. We didn't win shit in Iran, not one damn thing; not even cheap oil. It cost thousands of American lives and a gazillion dollars, only to create a place where our enemies could train their soldiers freely. How is THAT a win?
If you think that by being the richest country in the world (which we aren't by the way; there are several Arab oil countries that are 10 times wealthier), that makes us great, then I pity you; money isn't everything.
The middle class (your first world lifestyle) is disappearing so fast this country will soon resemble a 19th century mining town, rather than a first world country (I owe my soul to the company store, lifestyle).
Our health care is very expensive and falling fast towards 3rd world standards.
Our penal system is economically driven, just another way the rich increase their profits on the backs of the poor.
You live in a dream world and only see what you wish to see. The America you think is there has been dying for 50 years and is only a ghost of what it once was.
