Is it normal to have the same dream over and over again?

I have several dreams I dream over and over again, not the same exact dream, but the same fictional scenario as if it were true. I'm always (almost) in the same house for example, one I lived in as a child, but as if I never moved, I'm my current age. I always (almost) have the same boyfriend, not my real life one and no one I know in real life as far as I can think of - but the same guy. Lots more examples, its just like an ongoing alternate life that repeats, & these are practically the only dreams I have, except for a strange morning phenomenon but that's another post. Is this normal?

I don't know if it's normal or not but I always have recurring dreams about the two houses I grew up in and I tend to either be a child, an adolescent or in my early 20's.

  • Dreams are a reflection of your anxieties and desires. You can learn a lot from how your recurring dream makes you feel. What emotions do you experience during the dream? How could those feelings relate to your conscious life? Are you afraid of being held back in life or that you'll return to a less responsible state?

Sounds cool. Maybe you'll meet him someday. I used to dream about falling in love with obscure, mysterious guys. However, they all looked different and I think all the dreams had different settings, but it was always just this really cool guy that swooned me over with his gorgiously engaging personality.

Thank you that was a nice comment. I have two other posts and there's been so much random hatefulness that doesn't even make sense.
