Is it normal to have such a low singing range?

My lowest note is a low D. Like most stuff for bass doesn't go below the G that is four notes above that. My range extends from that D an octave above and then another 7 notes to a C, that is where I usually crack. It just seems so high but alot of bass music requires me to sing up another three notes or so, and I usually drop out because I just can't go that high in my regular voice and it's too quick to switch to falsetto. As for my falsetto I can sing from about the top note of my regular voice (C) to the F that is an octave and four notes above that.
It just seems like my voice is so low compared to other people. Like for the stuff that Anthony kiedis of the chili peppers sings, he sings that with his regular voice but when I sing along, I'm in falsetto. Same thing with Bono of U2. The only stuff I'm comfortable with would be stuff like Just Breath off of Pearl Jam's new album. Stuff that's higher than that (which would be most of all music) I either have to strain hard and sound bad and crack, or go into falsetto if it's a little higher. I appreciate your feedback.

there is a difference between talent and ability. You can't change you vocal range. I am a baritone, and the lowest I can sing is one note above the low G. I find it hard to sing with the tenors, I would have to strain til my voice cracked, or switch to falsetto, which is fairly easy for me, as I can go from my lowest note to the shit sopranos sing, without you noticing when I switched. I would have to say that it is not common, but nor is it abnormal, to be a low low bass. Most men that sing are tenors, btw, so a man of you vocal qualities should find it difficult to sing along to their songs.
