Is it normal to have sex with my girlfriend while i'm asleep?

Recently, in the past 6 months or so, I've kept waking up in the middle of sex with my girlfriend (I'm gay by the way). Now i will admit maybe 10% of the time I've initiated it while I've been awake, and she's been asleep, mostly to see what would happen. But in the past couple of months she's been accusing me of being awake when i haven't been, and accusing me of pretending to be asleep. We don't have sex too often nowadays but when we do it's good so i have no reason to 'accidentally' jump on her while I'm asleep. I usually wake up either midway or at the point of orgasm, and i always wake my partner up if i wake up myself. I stay up a lot, and I've noticed she will initiate it in her sleep a fair bit as well. So my question is, is it right for my partner to get pissed at me when she does the exact same thing? Or should i just accept the blame for something i can't control and maybe go to my doctor? Or are we normal? All proper answers are appreciated, preferably suggestions on how to combat this sleep sex problem.

I once woke up fingering my girlfriend. I assumed she's shoved my hand there whilst spooning. I thought it was weird cause she wasn't wet at all but I carried on thinking that's what she wanted and we had sex.

I think it happened cause she heavily implied we were gonna have sex earlier but we didn't, so sub-consciously I was still horny? Dunno it was weird and freaked us both out.

Tell your girl to slap you awake when you are doing it. People sometimes do stupid stuff while asleep. They did a study and they said this is a disorder. When people sleep they have a chemical that is suppose to immobilize your body. However when some people sleep the body does not make this chemical. So they do things like act out the dream is flailing, swinging, screaming, sleepwalking and some have actually acted out entire dreams. Doing exactly what they are doing in the dream. It is not healthy and some people get this very severely. I would recommend seeing a doc to see if they could do something for this. However if you get sleeping pills often the side effect will be sleep walking. I hope this comment helped you and have a nice day.

Its a subconscious thing...try setting up a video recording as proof of what u get upto...also as proof that your partner also initiates... Not quite normal but its not wrong either...

This all sounds a bit odd, I've had my boyfriend grope me in my sleep but nothing even close to sex. Are you talking about fingering?

I'd talk with her, explain that you are both initiating sex while asleep. I have no solutions though, it's not fair of her to get angry when she does the same thing.
