Is it normal to have sensitive skin??

so way back i had my ear pierced on my right ear and i took care of then and one day i wake up and my piercing is like inside of me and my mom had to take it out with a needle and she had to put a string and i had it done again and it got again infected so i stoped using piercing couse my mom and dad said i have sensitive skin and i try to get my lip pierced but they said my skin liked soft or something so im not getting it so is it normal for a guy to have sensitive skin??

    Maybe it was the material of the ring. If it is ask if u can bring ur own (i recomend real silver/gold) ring or if they have any rings made of material that won't hurt ur ear, they should have some.
