Is it normal to have self-doubt?

Here's the thing: it's been 2 years since my last long term relationship, which lasted 6 years. I am now in a relationship where I have moved in and have been together for 6 months. He treats me like a princess, shows me admiration, and is constantly showing me affection but almost every day I question and have self doubt about the relationship. My question to you, the reader is this: Is it normal for someone who wants to be loved and shown admiration/affection to be doubting myself so much or am I simply guarding myself from being hurt?

Perfectly normal, assuming that you were hurt in your previous relationship. Trasure the partner you have now :)

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm just hoping and praying that this to will pass and it won't have a negative influence on my new relationship.

Well you answered your own question in the comment above.
You love him, and possibly feel vulnerable. Your doubting yourself as a way to protect yourself from getting hurt. That's what it sounds like to me anyways. At first I was wondering the same thing as joybird. But you answered that. So, I'd say its normal to protect your feelings.

I hope you love him or you shouldn't have moved in.
