Is it normal to have ridges on your finger nails?

So some of my fingernails have ridges on them. They run from the cuticle to tip. Does anyone else have these?

    I have them, Iv`e looked them up on the internet, they can be a sign of protein deficiency, or genetic.

    I have those too... I know I never had them
    Before I out on acrylic nails... Soooo I blame the fake nail!!!

    My dad has ridges in his fingernails, so does my brother.

    No i don't have that but recently I took off my fake nails so they look kinda odd now.

    Yus! I heard somewhere it's from a lack of calcium. That could be it, or you can just get a buffer for your nails.
