Is it normal to have repetitive dreams/nightmares like this?

So for the past fortnight or so, whenever I have had a dream, it has involved me running. Running as in fleeing or in a hurry to get somewhere, not like jogging or anything. Sometimes the dreams have been nightmares, like running from a zombie apocalypse or running to tell people how aliens are stealing humans insides. Other times the dreams have not been so scary, but have involved equally panicked running. In my sleep, I can actually feel very restless and feel how my adrenaline is pumping even though I am not actually awake. Is it normal to have such frequent occurrences ( I think I've had about 9 dreams in the past two weeks, all of which have been like this), or is the repeated running theme strongly showing a deep inner worry about how I'm running from my fears (or something like that)? Any thoughts/comments?

I have this same question. Different dream. To what point do you go to a counselor?

My dreams have been similar to a painful one that has been about my bf telling me I've had aids since we got together a year ago because he got it from his ex when they were together then in my dream I started beating him out of broken trust, pain, and hating that he would play carelessly about something like that. I even woke up the next morning and didn't want to talk to him one bit. Over A dream it caused some hatred in my awaken emotions. I told him about the dream and he assured me we were/ are both safe and clean but what the hell!?

Your dreams are desperately trying to tell you something, something important and so powerful that it wont go away. Read some Freud he touches on this kinda stuff. Check under recurring dreams, it's very common. The repetitive patterns in your dream reveal some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled. Some urgent underlying message in your unconscious is demanding to be understood.

I love that you used the word: fortnight - respect, made me laugh.
It's normal - I have dreams like this repetitively sometimes too - sometimes I try to run, but I cant seem to get anywhere... always falling down. Very stressful dreams, super adrenaline rush. Sometimes I will wake up and when I fall back asleep I keep dreaming the same dream. Some people say that dreams send a message to you, running from something in your life.... or trying too. I don’t know if I believe in this but a lot of other people do.
