Is it normal to have random women warn you about how you dress?
This has been happening to me since I was in middle school. But the other day my skirt caught on something as I was walking to my car and a lady pulled her car over to tell me, before proceeding to tell me that it would just be better if I got longer skirts. And she was at least in her mid-forties, going to pick her daughter up from the studio I was leaving. And over the summer when I was at work, waiting for my friend to get off her shift since we carpool, I was sitting on a bench in the employee parking lot, on my phone and minding my own business, this kid's mom (or possibly even a younger grandmother) pulls over by me, instead of her child, and shouts to me until she gets my attention. When she does, she tells me I need to buy some real shorts because she can see my butt. While I was beyond annoyed in both (and many more) cases, it seemed like they were trying to help me. Does that happen to a lot of young women?
