Is it normal to have premonitions?

When Something is about to happen to affect your life your body often senses it and while you sleep your brain prepares for it. Something like what you had definately was not that. It would be just soemthing you have done before or thought about doing. Since you dreampt something so small and realistic it is bound to happen. Your brain wants it to happen. And so it did. The End.

that's not a premonition really. that's just something you dreamed about. it doesn't mean anything. you need to figure out the diffrence between dreams and premonitions. i had some and it took me some while to understand what they were. it took me more than 5 premonitions to understand it was real. still today i always think it was a dream cause it's just something your mind thinked about, nothing else. sometimes, rare, you can actually dream about something that it's going to happen and you only dream about it cause when you were awake you felt, saw, heard something that seemed harmless but that actually isn't. and during your sleep your head thinks about it.
let me explain:
_i saw my friend dog dying being hit by a black car: i went to her house many times and in almost all of the visits there was this black car wich got in the streat really late in the dark and really fast. my brain, when i was sleeping, just though that one day her dog would be run over by that car - it happened two days later
_i dreamed my mom was sick - i missed all the signs when i was with her, so my brained showed me what i was missing - she really was sick
_i dreamed with my exams and i saw my future grades - they were all correct - it happened some 5 times or more...
well those were the most easy ones to describe lol yeah that was no premonition. you just feel attracted to your ex. lol

I would rather call that a fantasy which is likely to get real.

if you have premonitions that come true, then i'd have to wonder. maybe it means you are going to get back together again.
