Is it normal to have partial false teeth at age 22?

I've heard of people getting false teeth after an accident occurs, but last week, I did get four of my front teeth replaced with partials. I'm in college, and I had a lot of bad hygiene habits when I was in high school.
I still had three of the four teeth I had replaced, but they were really horrible, and I didn't like opening my mouth too wide. I've always smiled with my mouth closed until now. Still, I've been questioning myself about if I got them done too young.

If you need them, you need them, no matter how old you are. It's certainly not uncommon these days with the amount of sugary crap people consume combined with the shitty state of health care in the US. So many people simply can't afford to go to the dentist, it's a real shame.

At least you were fortunate enough to be able to get it taken care of so you can smile and talk with confidence. If you can afford it later on in life, you can always get those permanent dental implants if you wanted.

Unfortunately there is a massive amount of younger people who for whatever reason are having to get partials and even full mouthpieces. YouTube has thoudpsands of people who are dealing with this, as young as 17. The dental system are greedy bastards and they LOVE charging an arm and a leg for services.. No wonder people can't afford it. The insurance cap is always $1500 for the year.. That's the price of one root canal. Mos t people have more than just 1 problem.. And then it just spreads damaging even more teeth. You will get a lot off support from the community of people on YouTube.. And who offer really good advice. You have to do what you have to do to take care of yourself. You have to start somewhere, even if it means having to get partials or a full mouthpiece of teeth other than your own. As long as you have a healthy smile you will be fine. Don't feel bad or look down on yourself because this is something you have to go through. LOTS of people.. And I mean LOTS of people go through this. What's wrong is that people think that those who have these kinds of procedures are nasty due to lack of hygiene. Not true. There are medical reasons, pregnancy, calcium deficiencies, traumatic accidents, hereditary.. The list goes on. Definitely keep oral hygiene top priority from here on it.. It will prevent future issues from occurring.

It's not normal to have false teeth at your age but then again bad oral hygiene isn't. I feel bad for people who grow up malnourished or too poor to see the dentist.

I guess I'm blessed because good oral hygiene was just expected when I was growing up and dental care was always a priority.

I have got 4 false teeth at 22, and i am getting 2 or 3 more next year. My teeth break in the middle because they put too much pressure on my jaw, I always cared for them, but they break one after the other.

No this is not a normal age. Did you not take care of your teeth? If you have not you kind of have no one to blame beside yourself.

Loads of english kids have partial dentures because of the lousy dental health in this country.

My boyfriend has partial false teeth... I think he got them at 18. He had a calcium deficiency when he was younger because of his twin brother eating up all the nutrients in the womb (and to this day... greedy bastard) in addition to bad hygiene when he was younger.

We weren't seeing each other often when he got them and I remember seeing him one day and thinking how his teeth looked better than I remembered. Then one day we got f*ed up and he showed them to me. I was kind of freaked out, but it didn't change how I felt about him or anything. And besides, it made him more cofident about his smile which is always good.
