Is it normal to have panic attacks in common places/scenarios?

Ok, I realize it's not normal. I want advice, though. I had a panic attack in the car wash, terrified of being suffocated, trapped, and with the brushes coming on the car on the track-ramp, about to be sucked into the soaping area, and with the noises and dim lights, I completely freaked out. My air got narrow, and I kept honking my horn for help and no one came for what felt like was the longest time. Then a man behind me came and helped me squeeze out before the car got pulled forward and he got in my driver's seat to reverse the car out. It was terrifying and I want to know what helps others who have had panic attacks in car washes, elevators, dentists chairs, MRIs, and other situations. I've had panic attacks before and prayed to get through things like MRIs and it was extremely difficult but 'we' (Jesus and I) did it. Now, I have had multiple brain injuries and lots of emotional trauma and loss and chronic illness, all over the last 2 years, so am not able to direct my thoughts as I used to.

That's the funniest story I've heard in a long time. I'm quite familiar with panic attacks. I was working as a server for this event that was a standing cocktail party for about 50 people in a small room. My throat totally closed up. I bit the bullet and rode it out though. That's what you're going to have to do. You just roll with it. I know it's not easy.

I used to get panic attacks. So i underdtand and can sympathize. Have you spoken to a doctor about your attacks? They have heard it all and can suggest medication and/or a therapist to talk with.
