Is it normal to have pain during sex?

Okay so ive been having sexual intercoarse with my boyfriend about 10months already and this last month its been weird first i got very itchy on the outside of my vagina and then it started getting irritated so i stopped havin sex with him after a week it stopped but while i was having sex with him again it started to feel irritated it burn or like pain.. Is it normal? Or what is it??

    I had this one time to. My honest opinion, it could be a yeast infection. When this happened to me, I abstained from sex and tried the "Plain yougurt in a tampon" trick for about 3days and it cleared right up. It's an unharmful option if ur not sure it's a yeast infection and you don't want the doc poking around in there
