Is it normal to have other parents?

Well basically a while ago i met these people at a park near my house. We really hit it off and since i was moving they invited me over to their house. They treated like i was their son. They're both in their 50s and they're your typical family. A husband and wife but no children. They basically invited me over to their house for dinner almost every week and they would even pick me up from school. Also they would let me do my homework at their house and help me with school projects. They motivated me to do my best and thus i did. I wanted to make them proud of me since they were like the parents I've always wanted. They're in no way related to me and have never met me till before i started going to the park to walk my dog. Is all this normal? I mean they wouldn't hurt me and they've even offered to take me on vacation with them. They're just all around nice people.

    Maybe they wanted a child but could never have one so they see you as a son? They do sound very nice, but you always have to be careful. you never know what people have going on in their minds.

    What age are you and how long have you known them?

    Do your own parents like them?

    Always make sure your own parents know where you are and if they allow you to go on vacation with them it must be ok.

    Don't be so naive to think that pedos can't be a male and female married couple!! You need to watch some of the Crime channels on TV - They could take you on holiday and never return to your neighbourhood. Some spend many years 'grooming' victims :o(

    However, I had an 'other mother' who lived 4 houses below me and was very good to me while I was growing up :o)

    My mom is like this with people. She treats everyone like her son and daughter -.- I have a whole bunch of "sisters and brothers" that aren't even related to me. Smh.

      One of my best friends mom is just like that. Im part of their family. They call me and my friends their adoptive sons. lol. Your name wouldn't happen to be kim would it? aha
