Is it normal to have odd dreams all the time

I often have dreams I am in a house or a building. I open a door and all of a sudden I am in a completely different place and situation. I'll go through many different types of doors in my dream. I also have dreams where I am outside in my neighborhood, I'll walk a block and it will turn into a large urban area like NYC or a desert or mountains ( someplace way different then where I live) I also sometime see myself walking and talking as if I'm watching myself. I take psychotropic medications for bi polar and depression and wonder if they could have an effect on my dreams. Sadly I have to take them
