Is it normal to have occasional vertigo/skewed depth perception?

I feel it's about every night I go to sleep, I have to feel some amount of vertigo before I'm out. Occasionally it happens when sitting down, much more often when my eyes are closed, though. Luckily, I don't get it while walking or driving, so it's not really debilitating. It's pretty normal for me.
HOWEVER, it is not very often, but I get this feeling sometimes where objects that are close feel extremely far away, and it usually goes hand-in-hand with vertigo. I have never heard of this before, but the last time it happened made me look it up. Is this something that happens normally, even occasionally? I've never met anyone who has the same thing happen, so I figured I'd ask. Same with vertigo, although it seems much more common, is it a normal happening?
Thank you!

I used to have the skewed depth perception ages ago, like preteen or something. It happened very very rarely. I would also see things to be smaller or larger, or faster and slower, though that was during a fever. Vertigo when about to sleep is nothing alarming. How occasional is your vertigo and skewed perception though ? Approximately? And since how long have you been having each of these experiences?

    • Yeah, the things I see when my vision gets all weird look... really small, but really big at the same time kind of? It's hard to describe. That is not too often, only a couple times a year or so, if that.
I get vertigo at least every night, sometimes at various parts of the day. I have had these things since as long as I can remember.
