Is it normal to have no desire to drink, when all of my friends do?
I am 17, so obviously everyone around me drinks. I have no desire to, and I always feel left out because I don't drink like everyone else my age INN?

I have no desire to either :/ I don't know why most kids do. I guess just to break rulz lol. You don't need to drink to have fun and you definately shouldn't feel left out. It doesn't matter :)
Congratulations on doing what works for you.
You're probably not the only one who has no interest in drinking, but you're probably the only one who's confident enough that you don't want to do something just because everyone else seems to.
You might try expanding your group of friends by joining groups or clubs. I find people who have something to do are less likely to spend their time drinking or smoking. Yeah, it sounds like something lame that parents would say, but the people I hung out with largely didn't drink because they were too busy. That was really good for me because I was actually afraid of drinking. My parents are both dry, and treated it as one if the worst things you could do - a reasonable opinion considering my mom grew up in an alcoholic house.
I'm 26 now and have still never been drunk, although Im now comfortable with having a couple drinks, if it's something I enjoy, at events.
I never thought it was 'cool' to drink when your in high school, because most people who do are simply in that 'tee hee we're breaking the rulez!!!' stage which I found incredibly stupid.
Most people over the drinking age will tell you that a lot of the excitement of drinking went away once it was legal to do so.
Sober cab!!! Good job! Don't fall for the peer pressure and ur all good. :)
Omgodnesz! That's the same with me! I always hang out with my friends and next thing u know there drinking! And I never ever drink cuz I think it's kinda pointless since I'm the the one with the car..
I'm old as hell and have never wanted to drink. People used to say I'd grow out of that, but I haven't. Alcohol tastes nasty.
My understanding is that a lot of people "use" alcohol as a cover to act in ways they wouldn't when they are sober... I'll leave that for the insecure people who are afraid to be themselves. I have my own vices, but at least my liver's healthy!
I was a hardcore alcoholic at age 15.I'm 50 now and cant drink anything due to health issues.Don't let them force you if you don't want to drink.
I think it's really stupid when people that age drink only because its 'cool'. It irritates me to death actually, and the thought kind of scares me. That's the reason I don't drink or party either. It definitely makes me feel left out and lonely but its for the greater good (or so I tell myself).
Being drunk isn't fun. It's a good thing you're not interested. I have a drink every once in a while but its only because I enjoy the flavor. I'll sometimes drink a glass or two at night to help me fall asleep too, though this isn't exactly recommended. If you're into it, be responsible.. if you're not, good for you. But either way is normal. :P
i only have a desire to drink whenever i see sum1 drinking at a party. anywhere else i wouldnt care. maybe u were meant to be a drinker or havent seen enuff vids of sum1 going too far when theyre drunk
I'm that guy. I don't drink at all unless the boy I like is there and that's like twice a year. Everyone drinks so much all the time.
And I don't.
It might have something to do with an underlying superiority complex, but I'm well aware of all my many flaws, btw, anyways, it's always important to have a safe driver with a group, someone sober, and it means you won't have to worry about kidney or liver issues like I almost did - see, I used to drink the most, but it got old really fast and as I turned 21 I stopped drinking.
You're a hero.
Good for u lol if idont want then don't it's safer anyway in case something happens u can drive urself or someone else
