Is it normal to have never had a girlfriend by the age of 19?

Weight has nothing to do with it. I knew plenty of fat, ugly, stupid losers who could fill the back of their souped-up pickup trucks with all the girlfriends they've had. It's all about being a jerk. The more of a jerk you are, the easier it is to get a girlfriend.

It's uncommon, so I guess that makes it somewhat abnormal, but it isn't wrong or bad either. In fact I think it shows that you are smart. Whatever girl you end up with will be lucky to have you, since you haven't been with any others. I've never had a boyfriend and I'm 19 -so don't feel like you're the only one :)

I'm 19 and I haven't had a girlfriend before. I'm quiet and awkward. I have been told you need confidence to attract girls but I have never been a particularly confident person.

I can relate to you. However I've always been skinny for most of my entire life but now that i'm a senior in high school i've bulked up a bit by working out on the weekends. But I still have the same fear you do of asking girls out.

I have a similar problem. I'm also 18 years old, i am still overweight though. I don't have any female friends at all.
