Is it normal to have never been kissed and/or loved at 18?

You will find love one day. Love takes time and is unexpected. Just be outgoing and talk to girls, whether it is to be friends or to date. Some girls are idiots and go strictly for looks. Other girls actually like guys for their personality. I wish you luck, i know you will find love.

I'm not too experienced myself, but I gather that early on, particularly for the first two decades or so of life, love isn't nearly the same as it is for the remaining years. I don't know exactly why, either, but it seems to me that most people your age (and for perhaps a bit longer) are more focused on looks and other, shall we say, superficial aspects of people.

I think it's quite normal to not feel "loved" in such a way, but I think you should try your best not to worry about it. Not to sound cheesy, but I also think you'll feel far differently about being "cursed" with your looks in ten years or so (was it Tina Fey who mentioned something related to that in her book?). At the VERY worst, it's an aspect of your life that merely distinguishes you. I honestly don't mean this as an insult in any form.... but I imagine you might benefit in other areas of life in much the same way as blind people often become adept listeners.

Again, I might sound like a corny children's book, but I honestly mean it when I say that looks may ultimately be nothing but greener grass.

You have plenty of time, really no need to feel "weird" because you didn't find a girlfriend yet! :)

I didn't find love until 20ish. Don't put a time limit on it.
