Is it normal to have nasty looking crap come out of my butt

This sounds like a gross question but sometimes when I take a shit the crap that comes out is really nasty and gross looking and while I'm wiping it sometimes more crap will come out.I don't really want to go to the doctor to see whats wrong and i don't have the money to go either. sometimes i drink 2 bottles of water a day and it doesn't help and sometimes I'm in the bathroom for an hour because of this. How can i make this stop happening. I can't go anywhere like this because sometimes it smears all over my butt and I just give up wiping it because it gets really sore sometimes. what can I do to make this stop happening? This is ruining my life!
