Is it normal to have my first wank at the age of 5

when i was in kindergarten, i used to be a very introvert girl, i was pretty shy, actually. i don't even dare to say i want to go to the washroom during nonnap.
dat day i wanted to pee so badly, but i was afraid that the teacher will punish me for not going to pee before the nap, so i hestitated on my little bed.
i felt like i cant handle it anymore, so i reached down to touch where my pee somes out, to prevent pee coming out.
while i put my hand between my legs, i move my hands and it felt good. and after i feel good i don't want to pee that badly anymore.

so from that day on i do that everyday during non nap.

is it normal to start that in such a young age?
will it be very harmful if i kept doing it for a long time?

    Is it just me or does/should "wanking" refer specifically to the male gender?

      I associate it with males too but I guess it can be applied to females...

    It's actually pretty common for children to explore their sexuality early. But, as a society, we're very uncomfortable with it and so don't really talk about it.
