Is it normal to have my dog "visit" me in my sleep?

I raised a dog from a puppy to a 3 year old. I moved out on my own 6 months ago, and I can't have pets here, so she is staying with my parents.

For about 2 weeks now I've had recurring dreams about her. She scratches at my door until I let her in, sits in my lap and won't move.
