Is it normal to have musical dreams?

Sometimes when I dream its about me playing the piano over and over and that's all my dreams about but it's always music that I'm not familiar with.
I also have dreams that it's like there's music constantly playing and when I wake up it's as if it's been going though my mind and I'm still "listening" to it when I wake up
Do any of you guys know what's going on here??!! Thanks ;)

    I'm a singer, and write lots of lyrics and poetry. I usually dream about songs I sing with an awesome band. (My future will consist of exactly that:) So I know what you mean. I think it's wonderful to be gifted with an artistic eye, life has never been lovelier.

    Yes I get this too, or as I'm driting off to sleep i'll start to hear like, really cool melodies in my head. Its like they are real tho? Look up the song "orchestra" by the band "the servant" I think that guy has the same thing too.
