Is it normal to have multipled textured/type of hair?
So I’m mixed, and my hair has different textures. I’m kind of dark in my skin tone but not dark skinned. People call me black when I’m really not even a high percent of African descent (like 10% morrocan or less). Some even claim my hair is weave or say I have a perm when I don’t.
My whole left side of my hair is naturally straight and kind of fine . And the back of my hair is very soft and curly. Then my whole right side is (coily?) kind of thicker than the rest of my head. The back of my hair isn’t dry but the front is. The middle of my scale is very wavy in texture and it’s a whole disaster. When wet my hair is straight - wavy all around, but the right side is mainly curly.
The only thing that keeps my left side to get curly or wavy is to wet it (sometimes) or to put a whole lot of gel and surprisingly edge controller on it. I don’t know why my hair is like this. My mom has full fine soft curly hair and I’m the hybrid
I’ve been trying to go for the natural look and it doesn’t work. My hair is too hard to manage with all the different textures. Is this normal? Do other people have this issue with their hair? Or did my genes just corrupt?
I’m mixed with asian, Hispanic/latino, African, native, and European descent.
