Is it normal to have infatuated feelings for one person that fluctate?

I've always heard that people in a new relationship get a huge, concentrated blast of "crush" type feelings - obsession, you think about them constantly, want to be around them, miss them terribly, etc.

With my boyfriend, it fluctates. There are some days that I feel that way, and some days I don't.

I haven't ever been madly infatuated for very long. I'm 25.

I don't know what to tell you apart from that it doesn't happen that way with me. There are people I like but then one of them kind of separates from the pack and as long as nothing goes seriously wrong, it just gets stronger and stronger for that one person until it's that early crush / love / infatuation feeling which is so intoxicating. That's pretty much a constant feeling for me until it settles into something deeper.

Ride with it. Sounds entirely normal to me.

How long have you been together?

You are 25; if you were a teenager the complete obsession thing could be considered normal, but in my experience as an adult this is really how it pans out.

    I wish you well together.

Thank you so much for the helpful comment... Much appreciated.

I've known him for around a year, we started dating a few months ago.

He's wonderful, I just worry alot about this sort of thing in general.
