Is it normal to have "fun" in an rp?

I'm a male who plays as a female avali on a multiplayer Starbound server. I've participated in this RP story that had a deep story and it was quite fun. Although there was this moment where a male avali expressed there love for me, wasn't sure how to feel at the time but I went with it, neither of us planned to express such feelings outside of the RP or even the server. Some time passed an we decided to explore another planet together, we found this mystical forest planet that had healing water and cotton trees. After a couple ingame days of exploration, he decides to eat some of the cotton off the trees... his eyes became pink and he fell on the floor, feeling quite happy. My character, having no knowledge of drugs, decides to do the same and got the same effect, she fell down underneath the tree. The male avali decided to get up take some of the tree floss home with him. My char grabbed his leg while he was picking some of the flossy leaves, looking at him in quite a peculiar way. He falls down next to her and she giggles. They stare at each for a bit before the male avali stands up and manages to fall on top of my char. They stare at each other a bit more, blushing. The male avali suddenly speaks, "You and me, right here right now.". And well... you could probably guess what happens next.
I'm not even a homosexual but that thought tends to come back from time to time. So I'm here to ask, is this normal?
