Is it normal to have foul-smelling floating farts?

Yes, another fart story...sorry, but if you don't like them, why did you click on it?
Anyway, once in a while I'll get these really stinky farts that my husband calls floating farts. The reason being that they don't dissipate as quickly as normal farts. They really seem to be made of different stuff and just hang there in the air for ages. Is it a heavier gas or something? Does anyone else know this kind?

    Apparently some fruits can react negatively in your digestive system after you have eaten some types of meats. Not saying it's that, but maybe it had to do with what you are eating
