Is it normal to have feet this wide?

I didn't notice my feet were wide until my family started pointing it out. Then I started looking at other people's feet to compare and mine were approximately one or two inches wider than most people's feet. The thing is, I measured the length of my feet and I'm supposed to wear a size 6.5 in women's. But the shoes that feel most comfortable width-wise are size 9 or 10. Of course I can't wear a size 10; they're too long. That's why I wear a size 8.5-9. This has seriously caused a great big dent in my self-esteem. I don't go swimming and I wear sneakers to the beach because I'm afraid of showing my feet. It's depressing to try shopping for pretty shoes. The worst part is is that feet aren't something I can fix--not even with surgery. I also worry that guys will be turned off and I am worried that I might end up liking a guy who happens to have feet fetish and I don't want him to be freaked out/turned off by my feet. Is it normal or am I the only one with freak feet?

    Don't be so self-conscious. the fact of the matter is that a lotta dudes will be like... "whoa she has wide feet" but I don't think that it'll really matter though. On the plus side, a few dudes... maybe like less than 5% will be very turned on by your wide feet. I dated a woman with wide feet and it was a major turn on for me. But then again, not that many dudes love womens' feet nearly as much as I do. ;)

    People say my toes are gigantic, lol, but they're not.. but I dunno, maybe there are. My toes are just thinner I think, but I do know my feet are not wide enough to fit into certain shoes.. I have lots of extra room in some shoes. I dunno..maybe thats just a mistake. Anyway, who cares. Everyone has something different!!!

    I have wide feet too. Don't worry about it, EVERYONES feet are ugly. Wear flip flops, go swimming, do what you want to do. And if your face and body are hot, then guys will NOT care, i promise. Make sure that you always have a nice pedicure and that will improve the appearance. Try buying special wide shoes online, in your correct size. And don't worry about what your family says, my family ALWAYS makes fun of me, my body, what I say, etc.

    Hey, dont worry about feet. Lots of people have their differences in their body, for instance, my feet look freakishly small for my size 5'11 to be exact and even tho the size of the shoe is size 11 in guys, I can fit a size 9 for girls which is size 6-8(idk how many sizes small) 2 sizes smaller i think idk.

    I have a foot fetish that is probably because of that and I did compair but im not pinning my whole fetish into that cuz feet been with me since i was young... n idk the real reason, but enough of that

    I'm sure you will be fine and the internet is full of stuff, im sure if you find the right company to make shoes specially for you. Internet has just about everything and for the right price im sure you can find the shoes that may look cute n perfect, as for worrying about your feet self esteem wise, don't fret there are people with worst stuff that make them scared, others use their differences to be big.

    And if all else fails just find something to egnite that flame of life out of support and fihht through it with embrace.

    at least you don't have wide feet and long feet....like me! size 9.5.....but I don't care it's just my feet. I just don't let people touch my feet,,, i find it creepy same with my neck for some reason...

    Awwww, dont worry babe :) my mums got this problem too, and she has nice pretty shoes specially made, shes been married for 20 years with 2 kids; so i dont think any boy wouldnt like you :) chin up xxxxxxxxxx

      I'm not overweight. But I am trying to lose weight to see if that will help at all. I personally don't think it will. My feet aren't fat. The bone is thicker and bigger for some reason. Whatever I can grab is just skin.

      Yes, but even then not all wide width shoes fit me. And the ones that are most comfortable are hideous.
