Is it normal to have feelings+ for my best friend?

Well, this is my first post and I am kinda nervous about it. My story goes back to undergraduate school. I had a group of friends that i used to hangout with. We used to do all the guys stuff like parties and drinking, typical undergrad stuff. One of the friends used to live right around the corner of my place. We kinda got close during the school years hanging out on daily bases with my and his GFs. The years fly by, undergrad, grad, we reach our last night in town. We sit on our front porch drunk in the dark at 3:00 am when he got closer to me saying "I will miss you buddy" giving me a friendly hug and the next thing I know we are making out. Some drunk guy passed by in the street without noticing us when my buddy said lets go upstairs. we spent the rest of the night kissing. When i got up the next day he was gone. I felt weird and confused on the way home. Years passed without talking to each other and we meet four years later. He is divorced, I am involved. It was an awkward reunion with us avoiding each others eyes. By the end of the night we had our first conversation. He said that he had a feelings for me since our freshmen year. We ended up cozy in a hotel that night. Four years later, we still fly for hours or drive for hours to see each other. He is the only guy I go down this alley with. Is this normal?

Oh my god, that reminds me of Brokeback Mountain! Dude, your story is amazing. The way I see it is if you liked this person enough to kiss him and go the other way for then maybe he's worth more than just a sexual relationship. Don't worry about whether or not you're gay. It's true that some people are just attracted to one person of the same sex. If it feels right then do as you please :)
