Is it normal to have feelings for a close friend?

This girl... let's call her Natalie, is one of my close friends. I can talk about anything with her, i have known Natalie for 4-5years now. When we are together i find myself laughing and smiling a lot, her too. At first it was just friendship, but recently i have been noticing her... like how adorable she is and how cute she looks when she smiles. I wanna tell her about it but... I'm scared it will ruin our friendship, or she wont look at or act the same way around me. She is straight and doesn't seem the type to bend backwards for a girl.. Being the flirty type of person i am doesn't help either, i'm scared i might take the playful teasing too far and let something slip. Oh and Natalie doesn't like getting or giving hugs, so she doesn't let anyone hug her. But i have hugged her multiple times and she never complains just sorta smiles...? I'm confused and don't know what to do, or if it's even normal to have such feelings for a close friend. Help?

    Go all in and tell her what's up, if she's a true friend, then IF she says no, it shouldn't ruin the friendship. It might make it awkward for a while but you don't want to be that guy ten years from now wondering "what if" do ya?
