Is it normal to have extremely vivid dreams every night?

Every single night, I have very vivid dreams. I've never just gone to bed, then woken up the next day without remembering a single dream. My dreams don't ever seem to be about anything specific (unless I'm having a nightmare, and the nightmares usually involve tidal waves, drowning, or giant bees or spiders)

And usually the dreams tend to be very loud (by loud I mean people's voices tend to be amplified, and so to the actions), can sometimes be tactile, and in my dreams I usually think a lot, and spend a lot of times trying to formulate the reasons behind why certain things in my dreams are happening. I always wake up feeling disturbed or on edge.

Even when I take naps I dream. And these dreams are even worse, because I tend to incorporate ambient noises (such as the television) into my dreams which causes even more disturbing sensations.

I also tend to always wake up tired, or extremely mentally worn out. Is it normal to have such vivid, weird dreams?

I have exactly the same thing, I always have. I have full movies that I've created with sub plots, cliffhangers, murders everything and I'm the main character usually. I wake up screaming, crying, wretching, laughing everything! I have dreams so intense I can't stop shaking sometimes when I wake up. My boyfriend has got used to having to calm me down when I wake up. It's very intense, but also pretty awesome sometimes, In my dreams I feel like a genius! I must be a closet steven speilberg..... :)

You are in the process of transfering to your astral body when you hear the sounds. You can simply think in your head "tune it out" and the noise will stop instantly. Its perfectly normal but can be quite scary when you are unsure what it is

try to take control of them! If you know you are dreaming in the dream, tell yourself that and practice the art of lucid dreaming ;)

Yes this is normal, it is so creepy, im the " main character" and in my head, because my dreams are messed up, i always think " (omg this is a dream, just wake up this is stupid) but my brain convinces me ( no no, this isn't a dream, this is real!) so i just go " oh, well okay then" then i wake up, and its like " wait, what????"

Me too. Especially when you said you'd wake up feeling disturbed. When I wake up from these dreams I feel pissed and that I hope we don't dream forever when we die somehow. I hate vivid dreams. And yes it's loud and at times hard to stay awake right after. I can feel my head sort of tug me back to sleep but I fight it. I hate it!!! But junk food cam vector blame, what you eat has a huge impact on everything.
