Is it normal to have extremely irregular periods?

I have some pretty bad nutrition issues. I rely heavily on vitamins since we can't really afford healthier food, and I think it's affecting my periods significantly.

My first irregular period was in 2012, and it was only a month delay. A few months later, 2-3 months. Last year in November began an even longer delay, finally ending early May, and then finally happening again last September. Luckily we were able to get our hands on better food as of late so I think's it's gonna start regulating itself, but I wanted to know if anyone else had experiences like this.

My friend has irregular periods, and she eats healthy. It isn't anything about what you eat, its probably stress or hormones or anything. Ask your doctor..?

I have irregular periods. It turned out it was because I had Polycystic Ovaries. There are other possible medical reasons for irregular periods. You should talk to your gyno about it.

  • Your period is regulated by a delicate balance between your two female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, not food. You want regular periods? You need to fix the hormonal imbalance. Get on the pill. Its free.
