Is it normal to have extremely damaged hair

I really need help on taming my hair. It literally feels like hay. I have been trying to tame it for years but it hasn't improved at all. I read/watch so much tutorials and none help, and I haven't straightened my hair since august. Can I please have advice

Wash your hair only every two or three days. After shampooing, put your conditioner in and leave it in for like, 10 minutes. Wash it out and then straighten it. I use Garnier straightening spray and a $20 ceramic straightener. If you still have flyaways (after you straighten it, wait like, half an hour because sometimes the flyaways settle down on their own), then Silk Drops (it's hair oil).

I get compliments about my hair all of the time. Takes a while for this method to start working but not THAT long. I use Tresemme Conditioner (because it's cheap). Garnier is also a really good brand.

I use a mixture of coconut milk and lemon juice to naturally straighten my hair. The concoction has been helping my dry hair. Coconut oil is also very good for your hair.

My hair isn't curly, but I bet it would make my hair really silky. I would love to get your recipe.

My hair is very soft and I straighten it.
I use oil every other day after a shower in my wet hair ... any time I straighten it I put oil in it after to keep it from fuzzing and to keep it from being damaged from the heat.

When I wash it in a shower my shampoo and conditioner are separate...I leave the conditioner to set in my hair while I shave my legsor something.

    Thats all I do
