Is it normal to have dreams such as this?

I felt kind of disturbed with this dream, so I'll jot down as much as I can:
I'm walking with 3 other individuals, 2 male 1 female. We realize that the female has special powers & that there's some kind of evil magician or demon that causes us to relive in what I can imagine as some sort of warped reality. I remember saying something like, "Look dude what do u need us here for u got what u want!" The guy says, "You're dead anyway!!!" Then us 3 guys are walking in what seems like a theatre or movie screen. Now 1 of the males is a little boy, maybe around 6. He's clutching my hand extremely tight & we sit down. All of a sudden this stranger approaches next to me & what I can gather is a homeless man (not bum). He asks if he can sit, while there's empty seating all around, next to me! I remember asking why he wanted to be near me. His response, "Come on man, nobody cared enough about me, I look down & I can't feel my hands...... I woke up in a panic, more because of what the 1st dude spoke to me. It almost seemed as if I had no escape of where I was. It just seemed way to realistic! The sounds, the smells, even the atmosphere. It was a perfect autumn day. I know because of how the tree leaves looked. My question is if it's normal to experience a dream almost profoundly as this & if so, what does it mean?

It's called lucid dreaming... It's caused by elevated levels of DMT.
I watched a long doc on dreams... Was pretty sweet AND according to a study people can harness the brains ability to manipulate DMT production and influence to a certain degree dreams...

DMT is pretty cool it basically controls out perception of reality, and with elevated levels of it we have a distorted reality and with lowered levels reality seems dull bland and even colours are flattened making people often feel down or depressed... Wild stuff...

...Here's a quickie on DMT. ( from wiki so it's not great... )

Dimethyltryptamine (DMT or N,N-DMT) is a psychedelic compound of the tryptamine family.

Since DMT resembles the basic structure of neurotransmitters, when ingested, DMT is able to cross the human blood-brain-barrier, allowing it to act as a powerful hallucinogenic drug that dramatically affects human consciousness.[3]

Depending on the dose and method of administration, its subjective effects can range from short-lived, milder psychedelic states to powerful immersive experiences; these are often described as a total loss of connection to external reality and an experience of encountering indescribable spiritual/alien beings and realms

Its presence is widespread throughout the plant kingdom.

DMT occurs in trace amounts in mammals, where it functions as a neurotransmitter and putatively as a neuromodulator.

DMT is also produced in humans, however its production and purpose in the brain is yet to be proven or understood.

It is originally derived from the essential amino acid tryptophan and ultimately produced by the enzyme INMT during normal metabolism.

The significance of its widespread natural presence remains undetermined.

It's normal to have a vivid, realistic dream. It probably doesn't have any meaning to it.
