Is it normal to have dreams of surgical proceedings?

Over the last couple of months I've been having dreams of being under surgery. I can never recollect what I'm thinking at the time as I look on in a sort of astral project, out-of-body view; yet I can't even be certain that it is me.

Is there anyone here with some understanding of dream interpretation? Are there any theories as to what this might mean? Is it normal to dream such dreams?

Have you, a friend, colleague or a relative been under surgery lately? Is somebody undergoing it soon? Have you been thinking/worrying a lot about it?

If not, it might be this:
To dream that you or someone else is undergoing surgery, signifies the opening of the self and/or the need for emotional healing. you need to "cut out" or eliminate something from your life. alternatively, you are feeling the influence of some authority figure. A more literal interpretation of this dream may reflect your concerns about upcoming surgery or about your health.

I got this from a site with explanations about the things we dream about. I don't believe in spiritual explanations or things like 'an apple stands for willpower', but I do think our brains can create certain scenes that befit our feelings and worries. We process these things in our sleep.

I believe it's absolutely normal to dream about things like this.
