Is it normal to have dreams (nightmares) about incest?

So far, I've had two dreams about incest and it's really scary to me. One was a dream where I almost had sex with my dad and I woke up really scared because I almost came. Today, I had a dream I had sex with my brother and I actually did have a wet dream. I'm not into incest at all, why do I keep having nightmares like this!? I wish I could control my dreams and stop. Is this normal?

    While I would generally agree with devilla, I also think its wise to take a closer look. Sometimes, though certainly not always, dreams can be an expression of repressed memories. I imagine a skilled therapist might be able to help you distinguish whether these dreams are something you should worry about or not.

    As far as it being normal, I know that many people have dreams inmvolving family members, and many people have dreams about sex. It seems only logical that many people would also wind up combining the two.

    I think divella might be right. One summer I hardly went out at all and the only people I saw were my family. I had a sex dream about my sister and another about my mother.. I try not to think about them because In The dream I was into it but looking back it think it's really gross. I try not to let it bother me because I know I'd never even think of doing it irl.

    It depends.

    Is the dream a nightmare before or after you wake up?

    If it's a nightmare (and recurring) before you wake up, talk to a counselor.

    if it's only a nightmare when you realize your wet dream was about your brother, it's probably just sexual hormones acting up. You might want to consider taking matters into your own hands before going to bed to relieve the pressure.
