Through-out my life, I have occasionally had dreams of having incest with my mother, and at least one dream of being molested by my father? What do you think? Is it normal? Have any others had such dreams or simular ones? Anyone want to take a Freudian stab at what you think it may mean, assuming it even has one?
Does the dueling banjos happen to be playing in the background as you dream?
Are you sure it's just a drean and not repreased memories from real events.
I have as well! I still remember being about 8 years old and dreaming that my father was kissing me while I wore my wedding dress. I've since had incestual dreams including my uncle, my step dad and my step-mum. It's weird and I wake up feeling so gross about myself. I told my best friend and we had a laugh about them but at the same time agreed how goddamned fucked up they were. I do think it is related to Freud's research however. Children do idolise their parents, and as you grow up you become curious about love and relationships and I guess the brain makes the link with the opposite-sex person who has most of your love (your parent).

It's disturbing (I've also had incestuous dreams) but normal. It doesn't mean you want to bang them, just that you love them.
