Is it normal to have discomfort after urethritis' been cured?

I had urethritis several months ago and received the treatment at a local hospital. After sometime the Doc gave me a Urine Analysis and told me everything was alright.Since then I could still feel the discomfort When I take a piss sometimes(burning mostly), so I went to another hospital and did another urine analysis but still no one can find any problem. I'd like to know, is it normal to have symptoms left after the urethritis' been cured?

    You might have interstitial cystitis. ou might want to google the term or go to a site like MedHelp and there may be a forum for people with IC or a general urological forum that might help.

    I used to work for a urologist. That is the doctor that could diagnose the problem. They probably don't like to tell patients it's that because they are hoping your nerves will calm down on their own and not be a permanent problem. When I googled it just now I see that aloe vera is one treatment being used now by people. I don't know how they take it though.

      Thank u for ur suggestions my friend. But I'm pretty sure I don't have interstitial cystitis coz I don't have any other problems with urination. Such symptoms like frequent micturition or Urinary endless don't concern me,I just sometimes can feel the discomfort when I take a piss,nothing more. One of the doctors told me that some symptoms will continue to affect the body even if the disease itself has been cured coz the injury could remain.

        Well looks like you answered your own question with that last sentence, but did h/she describe the symptoms you might end up with and what to do about them? Sounds like a visit back to that doctor wd be a good idea and I wouldn't muck around putting it off if I were you
