Is it normal to have different size tonsils?

I've had a soar throat the past 3 days.. my mom thinks it's just that.. but I think it's my tonsils.. on the (my)left, it seems normal.. roughly the size of my pinky nail.. but the right, I can hardly see it.. it actually looks like there's two tiny ones on the right... this doesn't seem normal..

    I wouldn't jump to conclusions, yet. Tonsils, as we all know, swell when an infection like the cold, or flu or what have you, is in full swing. It's a natural reaction.

    If you (original poster) have had frequent colds, or ones that linger, then it could definitely be something that a doctor should check out.

    I hate it when my throat soars. I mean the rest of me would like to be flying too...

    But seriously, ask her if you can go to the doctor.

    I think you should see a doctor, it sounds like tonsillitis.
