Is it normal to have dentures at 27?

I had pretty fucked p teeth all my life and it was nasty im 27 and they made me feel insecure, when i was younger my mother sucked at encouraging dental health and by the time i took action and started to brush it was already too late. Is it normal to have dentures at 27? like i mean do you think alot of people have them at 27 or even younger? I KNOW BRUSHING YOUR TEETH IS NORMAL DUH! but having dentures at 27?

Not normal at all. Nothing to be ashamed about either.

I got them at 21 , smashed my face riding motor bikes and lost or broke 80% of the top teeth.
Funny thing , when I tell people the girls think it's cool that I lost them getting smashed up on a bike - go figure !

Alright if you lost your teeth in an accident that has nothing to do with care. Also people would think it was cool if you lost them doing sports.

I used to be a 'volunteer' at a dental surgery in London. We had one patient who had some dentures and he was 24!

  • its funny, this day and age, esp with fluoride in most water supplies, dental health is much easier.

go back 50-60 years people in their 30s probably were getting fitted for dentures, some even sooner then that.

go back even farther and what probably contributed to life expectancy was dental health even before it was even understood. If your teeth are rotten and cant function then you cant eat, if you cant eat you die. Simple as that.

    • My teeth are TOTALLY fucked up-and I can still eat, just not EVERYTHING there is in the world.I'm 50 now,and my teeth have started to get fucked up since the age of 17-18 and I still REFUSE to see a dentist.

My dad got them when he was nineteen.
I've never even had a cavity though.

I think it might be more normal than one might think, considering how a lot of people don't have dental insurance (in the US at least) :/
