Is it normal to have crushes on people in a non-romantic way?

Sometimes, I'll meet people or see some one, and I'll think they're really cool, and I'll get a sort of crush on them. But, it's not really a crush; I just want to be their friend, not their girlfriend. For example, there's this one dude who lives down the street from me and goes to my highschool, and I just find myself trying to find ways to hang out with him, but not because I'm sexually attracted to him or anything... I just think he's a snazzy fellow lol...I suppose you could call it a friend-crush. Is it normal?

    i get these things that I call talent crushes. its when you're attracted to someone, not necessarily in a romantic way, based on a talent they have, like being able to sing, dance or write

    i do the same thing, but with both genders. it gets a little difficult trying to explian ur caring for them as a friend thing and not a sexual thing sometimes thou.

    Haha that's real funny just make sure he knows it's not a sexual relationship It's normal I would say you just want people to be your friend really really bad.

    Awww sweet. Make sure he knows it's not sexual though. Otherwise there could be mixed signals and then heaps, loads and bunches of trouble.
