Is it normal to have been obsessive about death since childhood?

Is it normal to have been obsessive with death since childhood? When I was a child I used to watch shows and hope those in the show, like Batman and Robin is just one example, would die. I kept watching time after time in hope they would die. Ever since childhood I thought that I'd die at a young age. I still fully believe that I'm going to die young. Is this normal? If not what is wrong with me;especially since I've been obsessed with death like almost all my life?

My teen years were spent under the threat of nuclear annihilation, so needless to say, there were few nights we went to sleep actually expecting to wake up the next day. One day, my best friend (35+ years) and I were sitting around in his living room (I was visiting from some faraway place) and we looked at each other and said, "Holy shit, we're old men in our 50's. How the fuck did that happen?"
We never expected to see 20.
I wouldn't put too much stock in your premonition; you don't even have "mutually assured destruction" to worry about.
